My First 3 Weeks in Wyoming

Well, its official. I have been living in Wyoming for three weeks now.

Moved into my summer home, have been working like a mad woman, and can’t even begin to tell you how much I have been enjoying The Grand Tetons. The scenery here is as breathtaking as ever.

Not to mention, I have also seen so many animals. Probably more than anyone else here. Seriously. I can’t believe how lucky I’ve been. In just these short few weeks I have been near eight wolves, four black bears, three moose, a fox, and two grizzly bears + both of their sets of cubs. Talk about good luck!

If you want to see what else I have been up to, here’s some photos from these past few weeks:

Sunday, May 14th

On Sunday, Olivia, Grace, and I went to The Hatch for Happy Hour and had the absolute best chicken tacos. If you’re ever in Jackson Hole, I’d definitely recommend grabbing a bite to eat here. You can’t beat $3 chicken tacos with lime yo.

Tuesday, May 16th

On Tuesday, I found one of the mother grizzlies and her cubs while driving home from work.

But what was most exciting was that there was barely anyone around. Not that it isn’t still cool to see bears in the Tetons when there are hundreds of people lining the streets and all. I mean, you’re still looking at wild bears. But I much prefer to photograph wildlife that isn’t surrounded by people, making the experience feel like a zoo.

Friday, May 19th

Sunday, May 21st

On Sunday, I went to Jenny Lake with some friends from work and enjoyed an absolutely gorgeous sunset. We saw a few of the wolves this night (one of which was black) as they chased elk and started a howl near the mountains, and got near a black bear on our way home.

Tuesday, May 23rd

Tuesday was spent hiking with my friend Grace around Colter Bay. Pretty fun couple of hours cause this girl is hilarious and super sweet. So glad she was one of the first people I met when I moved here.

Oh! And, yes. Boxed water really does taste better.

Saturday, May 27th

On Saturday, we explored Signal Mountain with Lena, a new friend from Russia. We also explored around Jenny Lake again (can’t get enough of that place) and raided the employee kitchen where she lives. So, yeah. Another good day 🙂

What have you guys been up to? Excited for the summer? Let me know in the comments!

I love the photos of the landscape you have taken and your cheesy grin.
I am surprised that boxed water tastes better…??
