This week I returned home from a two week trip to Hawaii – a trip spent in both Oahu and Maui. This was my first time visiting either island and I absolutely loved it! Have you ever been? Hawaii is definitely as pretty as all of the pictures you see online. There really are palm trees everywhere. And there actually are, in fact, a lot of humpback whales in February.
I did so many exciting things while there and cannot wait to share all of the details with you. I haven’t had time to write any travel guides yet, though, so until then, here are the best pictures I got of the different sunsets. Hope you like them!
Something I was reminded of while in Hawaii is how everything in life has a purpose. It rained quite a bit on the first few days of our trip (so much so that the road to our bungalow got flooded in just a couple hours) which was a little annoying as it messed up our plans. The storms ended up creating the most gorgeous sunsets I have ever seen, though. I’m not even kidding. A sunset we had at Kahana village truly was the most vibrant, pink sunset I have enjoyed. Well anyways, this all reminded me of the following quote:
The sun always shines after the storm. After rain there’s a rainbow. Following a storm there’s calm. After the night there’s a morning. And after the end there’s a new beginning.
What started out as a nuisance, ended up creating one of the prettiest nights. Not to mention, a fantastic photography opportunity! So if your work week was bad, just remember that it will get better 🙂

I actually live on Oahu, and sometimes I take this place for granted because I see this place 24/7. But this post made me very grateful for where I live, especially with such gorgeous sunsets. Great shots! Thank you for the post!

I hope you get to see it soon! And thank you! xoxo
There is something about palm trees that makes me squeak like a little girl 🙂
Wow those colors! I could look at a sunset over the ocean every evening and be happy for life. You really captured the feeling.
