Weekend @ Casa Bella | Photo Diary

IMG_6793-save-for-webThis weekend was an absolutely lovely one for me. I went to Depoe Bay with my parents and siblings, where we enjoyed staying at a beach house and spending quality time as a family. Here’s a peak at what we did:

Day 1

IMG_7534On Friday we drove down to Depoe Bay and got settled into our little beach house – Casa Bella.  This home was downright adorable! It had lovely wood floors, a pretty beach loft and sweetly decorated rooms.

We were expecting a nice beach home, but did not know what to expect of its surroundings.  Needless to say, we were throughly delighted when we arrived and saw how adorable the neighborhood was.  ALL of the beach houses at Bella Beach are beautifully kept and it was so fun taking pictures of them.

IMG_7615-for-webFor breakfast on Saturday morning we went to the café up the street – Cafe C’est La Vie – where we all enjoyed delicious crepes and coffee.  I ordered a savory crepe called the sunrise – it was made with a great batter mixture, filled with sausage and veggies, and topped with a perfectly fried egg.  SO good.  If you visit, definitely order this crepe!

IMG_7071-for-the-webThe weather was a bit foggier and mistier on Saturday, but it was still a nice day for walking along the beach – and it was actually a tad warmer than the day before.

In the afternoon, we explored the coast and were lucky to see some harbor seals.  These little guys have got to be some of the most adorable animals ever.  I mean, just look at those faces ????

IMG_7177-save-for-webIMG_7192-for-the-web↑There are six seals in this photo. Can you find them all? ????

Day 3

IMG_7606-for-webOn Sunday morning it was time to pack our bags and head home. ????  Not gonna lie; I was definitely sad to leave bella beach. We did head over to the Newport aquarium before we made our way home, though, so it was still a good day.

It was fun seeing my baby sister get excited with all of the exhibits, as this was her first time there.  She especially loved the sea otters and harbor seals.  Her favorite part of all was, however, climbing on the animal statues. Figures. ????

IMG_8222-retro-for-webAfterwards, we went to Mo’s seafood (they have the absolute BEST clam chowder) and on the way into the restaurant, I saw this cutie chillin’ in the parking lot ↑↓

IMG_8228-for-the-web-3Anyways, I hope you had a lovely weekend as well.  What did you do? Let me know in the comments!

Your photos are so stunning love! I think I probably drooled over those cute, yet stunningly simple beach houses. I have yet to explore the west coast much (I’m an east coast girl so far) but these make me want to get out to the west coast ASAP! xo

This is gorgeous! I love the 6th seal poking out of the ocean. How sweet. 🙂 This location is so beautiful, I definitely pinned for later! 🙂 I haven’t been to Oregon yet… but hope to someday! This weekend was a quiet one, aside from Easter which was very noisy! We took some time to read, and get organized. 🙂 XO – Alexandra
