Jamberry Nail Wraps

jamberry-nails

I am literally the worst at painting my nails.  No matter how many “easy” tutorials I try to emulate, my right hand never fails to end up looking like a kindergartener went crazy on it, and the left hand – which looks great compared to my right – is nothing to be proud of.  Clearly, nail polish is out of the question for me which means I am left with only two options for beautifying my nails: nail wraps and going to the salon. The latter is definitely my favorite, but it is also the most expensive, and my budget cannot afford this luxury very often. Usually, I am okay with having plain nails; however, it is fun to add some cheeriness to my hands, so nail wraps are something I had been wanting to try!

This winter I checked out Jamberry’s nail wraps for the first time and was immediately impressed by their large selection of designs and colors. They have over 300 different patterns, ranging all the way from bohemian chic to sports fan designs. There are so many fun choices, so it was hard to pick just a few to try out.

The three I eventually decided upon were: gatsby, faux fox, and obsessed. *

I first tested out the obsessed and gatsby wraps. Both times they came out looking pretty, but would only last on my nails for a day or two. This was extremely disappointing to me as I followed all of the instructions in Jamberry’s video and had, of course, expected them to last at least a week since they are advertised as lasting for up to two weeks.

Not to worry, though! They turned out well on both my third and fourth tries! All I had to do was heat them with my blow dryer for about 25-30 seconds (instead of the 3-5 seconds instructed in the video). This did make each manicure take longer than I had originally thought it would, but it was totally worth it since they actually lasted!

A sheet of Jamberry nail wraps costs $15 dollars and provides you with 2 manicures (maybe 3 if you have really small nails). I think this is a great deal as it is much cheaper than going to the salon. Moreover, the nail wraps do not chip and are non-toxic, so these manicures are a much healthier alternative to shellac.

If, however, you do prefer painting your nails, they also have healthier lacquers and gel enamels. These polishes are free of Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Camphor, Formaldehyde, and Formaldehyde Resin. I love the way gel enamels look, so I am going to purchase a bottle of their candy apple this spring and have my local salon use it to paint my nails.

I am very pleased with Jamberry’s nail wraps and highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a quick way to decorate your nails without making a mess!

Have you tried any Jamberry products? If so, what did you think? Let me know!

These are SO pretty! I love them all! But especially the fox one. I’m totally fine with plain nails because I find that when I paint them they chip right away, but I might have to try these out! If they don’t chip, they might be worth the time. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

All of these designs are SO beautiful! I’ve tried jamberry once before and didn’t do a great job applying them. I had ridges in mine all along the edges, ugh! But I just recently bought a new wrap and watched a ton of tutorials hoping to improve my success this time around!

All of these looks so lovely! I love the fox ones. I am actually hopeless at painting nails too and they never turn too good for me. I will need to try these as they don’t take as much time as nail polishes and they do look very cute! 🙂

This is such a genius way to do your nails for ladies like us who have a hard time with nail art, or (like me!) are super impatient when it comes to letting things dry. Really need to try these out. I honestly thought you had hand-painted all of these, the quality is really incredible!

Omg how cute!!! I love, love, love the designs you picked! The one with the foxes is beyond adorable and the other two look so modern and chic! As for, say ‘manicure skills’ hmmm, I’m incapable of creating designs. If it’s about one color, I can do it nicely, but designs and nail art? I suck! Haha.
